Swipo does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Your photos never leave your device.
Overview
Swipo : Photo Cleaner ("Swipo", "we", "our", or "the app") is a photo library management app for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how Swipo handles your data — or more accurately, how it doesn't.
Data We Collect
None. Swipo does not collect any personal information, usage analytics, crash reports, device identifiers, or any other data. There is no server, no database, no analytics SDK, and no third-party tracking code in the app.
Photo Library Access
Swipo requests access to your photo library using Apple's PhotoKit framework. This permission is required for the app's core functionality — displaying, sorting, and managing your photos. Here's what you should know:
- All processing is local. Your photos are read directly from your device's photo library and are never copied, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere.
- On-device AI analysis. Swipo uses Apple's Vision framework to analyze photo quality and categorize images. This machine learning runs entirely on your device. No photo data is sent to any server — Apple's or ours.
- Deletion is handled by iOS. When you choose to delete photos through Swipo, the deletion request goes through Apple's standard PhotoKit API. Deleted photos are moved to the "Recently Deleted" album in your Photos app, where they remain for 30 days before permanent removal.
- You can revoke access at any time. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Swipo to change or remove the app's photo access.
On-Device Machine Learning
Swipo's "Smart Decks" feature uses Apple's Vision framework to categorize and analyze photos. This includes:
- Face detection (VNDetectFaceRectanglesRequest)
- Attention-based saliency analysis (VNGenerateAttentionBasedSaliencyImageRequest)
- Sharpness/blur detection (Laplacian variance)
All of these operations run on your device's neural engine or CPU. No image data, analysis results, or derived information is ever sent off-device.
In-App Purchases
Swipo offers in-app purchases through Apple's StoreKit framework. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information, billing details, or Apple ID information.
Data Storage
Swipo stores your sorting preferences and session data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is:
- Stored only on your device
- Never transmitted to any server
- Automatically removed when you delete the app
- Not included in iCloud backups by default
Third-Party Services
Swipo does not integrate any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or tracking tools. The only external service interaction is with Apple's App Store for processing in-app purchases.
Children's Privacy
Swipo does not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users. Since we collect no data at all, there is no age-related data concern.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will post the updated version within the app and on our website. Since we have no way to contact you (we don't have your email or any personal info), we encourage you to review this page periodically.
